Many poets sense they are doomed.
Some take this on the chin
and write with good sportsmanship,
not wishing to make anyone's doom
worse than it needs to be.
And perhaps it won't be so bad, for them.
I have a feeling the others,
when they go to hell,
will be reading a lot of poetry.
