Into the Misty Mist
by Franco Bertucci
An umbrella won't help you
In this land of mist
Wet air will find your faceFerns will feel your legs
And cedar fronds finger
Your arms and chestAll holding what water
The air couldn't carry
And leaving it on you as you passBright colored barriers
We sometimes wear
Should clash with the forest
But they don'tThe universal mist making all one
Making all wet
Making all wonder, misty and magical thingsPoems and other embarassing things. 2010 Franco Bertucci
