Into the Misty Mist

by Franco Bertucci

An umbrella won't help you
In this land of mist
Wet air will find your face

Ferns will feel your legs
And cedar fronds finger
Your arms and chest

All holding what water
The air couldn't carry
And leaving it on you as you pass

Bright colored barriers
We sometimes wear
Should clash with the forest
But they don't

The universal mist making all one
Making all wet
Making all wonder, misty and magical things

Awkward Guy
